Karen - Supervisor (Level 3, First Aider)

Karen has been part of the CHUF team since 1998. She started out as a Pre-School Assistant and has been Supervisor at the Chearsley site since 2015. During this time, Karen has gained lots of experience and knowledge about Early Years, and is very dedicated to making the CHUF experience a fun, happy and memorable one. Karen prides herself on being very professional and ultra organised, whilst tackling each day with a sense of humour. She particularly loves running our phonics program, reading, and gardening with the children. She feels blessed to be part of a fabulous team, and finds it very rewarding to watch the children develop friendships and skills, and become confident little people who are ready for school. Karen takes pride in knowing that she helped to play a part in that.

Lauren G. – Deputy Supervisor (Level 3, Peadiatric First Aider)

Lauren has been working as Deputy Supervisor at Chearsley setting since 2019. She has two lovely boys who both attended CHUF in the past. Lauren lives on a farm and she loves spending time outside, doing outdoor (forest like) activities with the children. Lauren is queen of spontaneous planning. Lauren organises messy activities, baking activities, gardening, and other involving using the senses and getting messy. Lauren uses her farm connections to teach the children about animals, growing food, and natural world. 

Debbie – Pre-school Assistant (Level 3, Peadiatric First Aider)

Debbie has worked at CHUF since 2006. She has three children and grandchildren. Her grandson attended CHUF some time ago. She is a passionate and super patience practitioner. She loves working with the children, supporting them every single day, and watching them grow in confidence. Debbie is the queen of tidying up and she always encourages everyone to do the same. Debbie loves spending her free time with her family, going on long walks in countryside. 

Lauren joined CHUF in April 2021. She has three lovely boys and they keep her super busy. Two of her boys attended CHUF when they were younger. Lauren is very kind, super patient, and a lovely lady. Lauren loves supporting the children and their families. Lauren is great with cuddles and settling the children when they are upset. She loves taking the children for adventures around the village, and showing them the local area.

Donna joined the Chearsley team in September 2020. Her son attended CHUF a few years back and she has loved the setting ever since, Donna feels very privileged to be part of the team. Donna is working as SENCO at Chearsley setting, supporting the children and their families every single day. She is a very passionate and kind lady. Donna has 3 children and they keep her busy, she loves going for long walks with her dog Teddy, she also enjoys running and going to the gym regularly. 

Katherine - Preschool Assistant (one to one support, Peadiatric First Aider)

Kathy joined our lovely team in September 2024 as a one-to-one practitioner supporting the child with additional needs. Since then, she has become an amazing part of the team. Kathy is super passionate about working with children with SEN. She is a very lovely, kind and patience lady. Kathy has completed some Autism training and gained a lot of knowledge of supporting the children and their families. Kathy has one son who attends primary school. She is a very well organised working mum. 

Laura - Preschool Assistant (Peadiatric First Aider)

Laura has two beautiful daughters. She has been working with us since April 2023. Laura is the queen of patience and calmness. She loves helping the children settle in, giving them cuddles, and reading them stories. She loves observing the children growing in confidence and supporting their independence. In her private life, Lauren loves spending time with her family, and going for long walks with her dog.

Claire - Preschool Assistant (Peadiatric First Aider)

Claire has been working at CHUF since December 2024. She has two daughters and one of them still attends CHUF. Claire is a very kind and lovely lady. She is super helpful, and loves supporting the children, their families and the CHUF ladies. Claire is keen cake baker and likes crafty activities.
